Works on Paper

These paper-based creations draw inspiration from a nostalgic chapter of my youth spent captivated by the television, immersed in the vibrant world of cartoons. Reminiscent of my childhood days, I would diligently replicate these animated characters in coloring books. The iconic figures of that era, including Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam, left an indelible mark on my imagination.

The Black Book pieces are part of Tracy 168's collection that he sent me .They go back to the 1980,s with some of the most known writers of the era. Cap,Futura,Zephyr,Cey,and others.

My enduring fascination with cartoon characters naturally evolved into an appreciation for Pop Art icons like Warhol, Lichtenstein, This collection is a testament to those influences on my artistic journey.

For me, there's a therapeutic quality in the process of creating, a kind of artistic meditation. With music as my companion, I'd sit down and let my hand translate inspiration onto paper, regardless of the final outcome. These pieces, spanning the years 2012 to 2016, encapsulate the joy and freedom found in the act of drawing, a homage to the characters that fueled my creative spirit during my childhood.
